Case study · 01 · UK kitchen brand

Seven kitchen ranges. Eight weeks. And a production route still to prove itself.

For the seasonal launch of seven new kitchen ranges, the client agreed to put CGI and AI imagery to the test. Pre-approved product photography remained available in the background if this approach didn’t go as expected, with studio shoots planned if required. But confidence grew quickly as the work developed, leading to additional close-ups, cabinet details and styled imagery being commissioned for the brochure.

01

problem

A different approach for the client, with no room for uncertainty.

The client had committed to using CGI and AI imagery for the seasonal launch of seven new kitchen ranges, but understandably wanted reassurance before relying on it across the brochure. Their existing pre-approved product photography remained available as a fallback, with studio shoots an option if the new imagery failed to reach the standard they needed.

The initial requirement was substantial: a hero image and three supporting room angles for each of the seven ranges, all developed, reviewed and approved within an eight-week production window.

So the challenge wasn’t simply producing the volume of imagery. The work had to establish confidence early enough for the client to commit to the process, while leaving sufficient time to develop and finish all seven ranges before the launch deadline.

02

solution

A production process the client could see taking shape.

Rather than asking the client to commit to finished imagery before they were comfortable with the process, each kitchen was developed through detailed draft stages. Layout, styling, product placement, materials and camera positions could all be reviewed while there was still time to make less impactful amendments.

The first completed drafts became an important turning point. As the client saw the quality developing and understood how much control they retained, the initial caution around CGI and AI began to disappear. Communication remained close throughout, keeping approvals moving and allowing production to progress across all seven ranges.

That confidence also changed the brief. The client began identifying opportunities for additional cabinet details, drawer close-ups, styling shots and other supporting views that had not formed part of the original requirement. These were incorporated into production alongside the main room imagery, creating a broader set of assets for the finished brochure without losing sight of the eight-week deadline.

outcome

From testing the approach to asking more of it.

The additional imagery gave the client more ways to present each kitchen. Wide views established the overall design, while closer compositions could draw attention to cabinetry, storage, finishes, styling and the smaller details that distinguish one range from another.

That variety made the imagery more useful across the brochure. Rather than repeatedly relying on full-room views, pages could be built around different scales and points of interest, giving individual ranges more space to establish their own character.

Most importantly, the complete image requirement was produced within the eight-week programme agreed at the outset, including the additional imagery commissioned as the project developed.
